Outdoor Retailer has no plans to cancel its semiannual event in Denver later this month, in spite of Covid cases surging across the country. The show is set to stage at the Colorado Convention Center from January 26 to 28.

“Retailers are resilient and ready to do business,” said OR communications director Lisa Ramsperger, who noted that total registration for the event is currently around 7,200. (The exhibitor and attending stores lists are currently live.) “Registration is no guarantee that individuals will be able to attend later this month, but our team is talking every day to retailers, brands, designers, and other industry members about the show,” Ramsperger added.

In a letter released Wednesday, show director Marisa Nicholson wrote, “There are no plans to cancel Outdoor Retailer Snow Show 2022 at this time. We understand the decision to attend may be difficult right now, but we are here to support the retailers and brands looking to get their business done quickly and efficiently in this critical winter timeframe.”

Nicholson specified that masks will be required at all times while indoors at the show, regardless of vaccination status.

As the event approaches, we’re taking a poll of the industry’s attendance plans. Are you planning to show up in Denver in a few weeks? Have your plans changed due to the spread of Omicron? Weigh in below to see what the rest of the industry is saying.
