Think about how you map your runs. Maybe it’s down the street, to the park, around the park, and back. But it’s doubtful your route includes running every single street in your city.
After living in San Francisco on and off for his whole life, Salomon athlete Rickey Gates wanted to explore parts of his city he hadn’t seen in a way he knew best: by running. From November through December 2018, Gates logged 1,303 miles and 147,000 vertical feet by not missing a street or hill. Through the process, he learned more about the people and places that make up his home. This 17-minute film captures his journey.
